You should always choose your container according to its intended use. Sandwich panels with a polyurethane core, for example, are ideal in the catering industry because they offer high heat resistance and are capable of withstanding the hot temperatures typically prevailing in kitchens. If you’re looking for an office container, on the other hand, panels with a polystyrene core are sufficient – they have similar thermal properties but are significantly cheaper. Our team will be happy to help you find the right solution. We look forward to hearing from you.
Under German building law, the use of containers up to between 20 and 35 square metres in size is permitted in some federal states without a special permit or structural analysis. If a building permit is required in your area, our architect will be happy to help you prepare the necessary documents.
I. Containers without lifting lugs A crane with a crossbar and textile straps is required for safe unloading. The cross beam secures the container when it is lifted and prevents damage to the facade elements. We recommend that you insert spacers underneath the container with this method. Cement blocks are a good idea for this purpose, creating space between the container and the foundation and making it easier to remove the straps.II. Containers with lifting lugs on the roof This is the most convenient method of unloading and reloading your container safely. It is particularly suitable if your MOVEBOX needs to be regularly moved to another location. If your container is fitted with lifting lugs, the crane simply needs to have hooks that can be attached to them. The container can then be lifted without any problem. A supplementary steel structure in the frame adds stability, and the container can also be set down on a level foundation without having to resort to cement blocks as spacers.III. Containers with or without lifting lugs Your container can be lifted in the middle with a forklift regardless of whether or not it has lugs. The fork length should correspond to the container width, in other words if your container is three metres wide, a fork three metres in length should be used to lift it.
The costs for shipping to the desired destination are based on the distance in kilometres. Additional costs may be incurred for non-standard sizes. Road traffic regulations in force in Germany specify a maximum container width of three metres. A suitable permit must be obtained for larger containers, in which case the shipping costs could be significantly higher.
It depends on the type of container: we supply both one-piece and modular containers.One-piece containers are shipped to the customer already assembled. They must not be more than ten metres long and three metres wide. Once your container has been delivered and erected, it simply needs to be connected to the electricity and water supplies and is then ready to use straight away. All containers more than three metres wide are comprised of two or more modules. These containers must be assembled on site and can be used as soon as the electricity and water supplies have been connected.
The time to manufacture depends on the availability of the materials that are necessary to execute the order. Your container will normally be manufactured within three to six weeks of you making the down payment. Throughout the process, we keep in close contact with you and give you regular progress reports.
No. Unloading, preparing the foundation and installation are the customer’s responsibility. Please ensure that unloading is possible on the day of delivery (see “How can I unload my container safely?”) and that the foundation is ready for installation (see item “How do I prepare the foundation correctly?”). Once the container has been unloaded and erected safely, you can connect it to the electricity and water supplies as well as the sewage system. We will naturally assist you with all important information, so that all the necessary preparations can be completed on time.
As soon as all details have been clarified, you will receive an email setting out the order, which you are requested to confirm to us in writing.Production starts after we receive a down payment from you equivalent to 30% of the invoice amount. The time to manufacture is between three and six weeks. The final payment should be made either on completion of production after we send you photos of the finished container or on the day of delivery prior to unloading. If you choose the second option, please have confirmation of the bank transfer for the down payment to hand. This confirmation should be clearly legible and include the date, company stamp and your first and last name.
Collection by the customer must take place within 14 days of completion. You will be notified by email or text message as soon as your container is ready. The collection period will of course be extended, for example, in the event of bad weather conditions or other situations for which you are not responsible. If the 14-day collection deadline is not met, a storage fee of 100 euros (net) per working day will be charged from the 15th day onwards.
The surface for installing your MOVEBOX should be level over the full length and width. It should also be resistant to water and other forms of weathering, for instance to prevent it from being washed away in heavy rain. The container floor should moreover be supported at several points specified by us. We will send you a sample frame, details of the support points and all other relevant information after you place your order. One common way to prepare the foundation is to use levelled concrete slabs, or wooden or steel blocks, laid in a chequered pattern on a layer of cement and gravel or crushed stone.
